One of my husband's favorites!
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups quick oats
1 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream together the first six ingredients.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Stir this into the wet ingredients. Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes and cool 2 minutes before removing from the pan.
